Senior Director of Foster Care and Adoption Services will provide consistent best practice program development and direction to support the organization's Foster Care and Adoption programs and stakeholders.

This position can be in the Bloomington or Indianapolis location.

Foster Care & Adoption (95%)
• Develop and implement strategies for consistent and effective support for the Foster Care and Adoption programs for statewide offices.
• Establish and implement best practice training in principles and procedures for Foster Care and Adoption services.
• Supervise and develop competencies of the Child and Family Admissions teams as well as the Director of Adoption, to improve agency capabilities and performance. 
• Ensures passage of state licensing and contractual audits for Foster Care and Adoption programs.
• Provide regular reports on resource family recruitment, development and retention.
• Provide foster parent licensing consultation as requested.
• Direct and manage the Child and Family Admissions and Director of Adoption staff including interviewing, assessing and selecting the right applicant for the position, assigning tasks, annually evaluating work performance, and terminations.

• Master's degree in Social Work or related Human Services Field
• A minimum of three years' experience in Foster Care and Adoption is required for this position
• A minimum of two years' experience in supervision
• Good communication, organizational, problem solving skills
• The ability to work without supervision
• Proficiency with office technology including software applications relative to the job including web maintenance
Regular travel is required for this position.
