Good Samaritan Network, in conjunction with Breathe Easy Hamilton County, is seeking a Youth Development Coordinator  to join the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation team. Breathe Easy Hamilton County is focused on improving the health of Hamilton County residents by focusing on educating youth in the prevention of smoking, educating adults on cessation services and promoting a smoke-free policy in Hamilton County. To achieve these goals the Youth Development Coordinator will assist the Executive Director in managing the day-to-day activities and strategies involving youth, as well as implementing the Tobacco Prevention and Cessations ISHD (TPC) grant work plans.

Position Description
Breathe Easy Hamilton County is looking for an energetic, creative, highly motivated person to fill the position of Youth Development Coordinator. This person is responsible for coordinating all aspects of tobacco prevention/cessation education with various Hamilton County high schools to educate and empower youth through special events, youth advocacy management, and social media marketing. We desire to inspire and instruct students to stay tobacco free, to challenge themselves to become advocates to educate their peers on the dangers of nicotine and to begin a lifelong commitment to becoming a tobacco free generation.  A majority of the weekly hours are between 9am-3pm.

• Deliver educational presentations to groups from 6 up to 120 students.
• Interact with teachers and chaperones.
• Progressive PE curriculum development and lesson planning for pre-school, elementary and high school students.
• Supervise at least one part-time assistant.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a team of youth volunteers and mentors.

• Associates degree in education/ event management or communication.
• Proven experience as a youth leader.
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and empower youth.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Proven ability to work as part of a close team and with volunteer committees
• MS Office proficiency
• Must possess a positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as a team member.
• Self-starter willing to learn and take initiative, with direction from the Executive Director.
• Excellent public relations, marketing, and social media skills.
