The Content Producer contributes to Riley storytelling and leads communications for Development projects to maximize their philanthropic impact. When donors decide to give, they will, in part, select Riley Children's Foundation because of our intentional, calculated communications strategies.


1. Storytelling, Writing and Video Production
• Content and Video Production: Produce content and video for major events, integrated marketing initiatives (Be the Hope NOW, Riley Heroes and 100 Years of Riley) and for broad communications including television, social and digital platforms.
• Writing: Envision and develop professional, compelling and engaging writing for Riley Messenger, annual report, Riley Blog and other projects as requested.
• Signature Development Communications: Guide editorial planning and creation for additional signature projects including regional fact sheets, Case for Support documents, brochures, Riley Hospital tour document, digital and email engagement strategies, and donor engagement stewardship tracks.
• Proofing: Proof projects on the production schedule daily.
• Riley Children's Foundation Representative: Represent Riley Children's Foundation through delivering public speeches about the organization and its mission to the external public, as needed.

2. Project Management
• Women for Riley: Working as a partner with Development, create, maintain and execute effective communications strategies in support of Women for Riley, including Riley Cancer Center Family Prom.
• Riley Society account executive: Effectively execute Riley Society development strategy through Communications and Marketing branding, publications and event support.
• Planned Giving account executive: Effectively execute Planned Giving development strategy through Communications and Marketing branding, publications and event support.
• Managing Riley Family Information: Obtain and track Riley family story submissions and media consent forms as needed. Write overviews of patient stories. Collaborate with Communications Coordinator to add family stories to database and alert staff of compelling new stories that may be featured in publications. Be intentional about implementation of the family stewardship program.

3. Administrative
• Meetings: Prepare for and actively participate in all Riley Children's Foundation meetings as appropriate. Ensure expectations and tools for meeting agendas and follow-up are implemented.
• Budget: Work with your officer/direct manager to develop, manage and monitor the budget, staying within overall budget guidelines.
• Technology: Understand and effectively use the technology available at the Riley Children's Foundation.
• Compliance: Work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure strict compliance with bylaws, federal laws and regulations governing 501(c)(3) transactions, donor expectations and agreements and with Riley Children's Foundation Board of Governors' policies and procedures.

4. Other Duties as Assigned
• Riley Children's Foundation events: Participate in Riley Children's Foundation events as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising and/or business preferred.
Experience: 4-7 years' experience.
Skills: A firm grasp of storytelling and public relations strategies, digital marketing, social channels and ability to follow timelines and execute. Ability to plan sharp, innovative strategies and be able to quickly adapt those strategies in response to leadership and donor feedback. Knowledge of A.P. Style. Strong, proven writing skills; engaging ability to speak in public; strong interpersonal communications skills, both in person and through phone, email and written correspondence. Problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with a key focus on Word, Excel and Outlook; experience with SharePoint is a plus. Proficiency in use of databases, including Salesforce.
