The Camp Director will have responsibility for the overall implementation and execution of Camp's strategic direction. The Director will lead all CYC program operations and facility planning, financial processes, and internal and external communications with the community.
 
Organization Overview
Since 1928 Foundation For Youth's mission has been to Inspire and Enable Our Youth, Our Community. We are able to adhere to this mission by operating several local and non-profit agencies under our guidance. Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boy's and Girl's Club, SAFE Place, Communities That Care, Health and Fitness, and Columbus Youth Camp are all managed by Foundation For Youth. We seek to build protective factors into the lives of our youth while helping them recognize and avoid risk factors through experiential programming, athletics, and educational support.

Position Duties
Coordinates and directs Columbus Youth Camp through Strategic Leadership

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Directing CYC programs to target community needs;
• Implementing Strategic Plan
• Acting as the spokesperson for Camp
• Insuring Quality and Availability of Programs
• Partnering closely with community organizations
• Upholding a strong heritage with Camp stakeholders
• Building strong customer base of Rentals and Program Rentals
• Insuring that safety is held as a highest priority;
• Building and maintaining a sustainable budget. Staff
• Builds a cohesive team of professionals to deliver Mission of FFY
• Insuring the values of FFY are represented by all CYC personnel
• Insuring staff understand their responsibilities and have resources necessary to be successful
• Seeks and provides development opportunities for CYC staff
• Insuring staff understand their responsibilities and have resources necessary to be successful
• Hiring, training and supervising Camp staff
• Following FFY procedures and all applicable laws.

FACILITIES
• Implements ongoing investment in CYC infrastructure by
• Providing significant input regarding the infrastructure needs of C&
• Implementing Capital plan for growth;
• Insuring ongoing maintenance of facilities;
• Promoting universal accessibility;
• Assisting in the development of necessary funding;
• Supervising the maintenance and daily operations of the Camp.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to Lead in a strategic manner
• Ability to read financial reports and legal documents.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors through excellent oral and written communications;
• Ability to maintain camp standards necessary to continue accreditation through the American Camping Association
• Ability to lift 50 pounds; walk, stand or be physically active for prolonged periods of time
• Must possess a valid Indiana driver's license and a good driving record
• Conflict resolution / de-escalation skills
• Problem solving skills
