The Ministry Coordinator will work with the Pastors and ministry program directors to ensure that lay and staff members' efforts are aligned with the congregation's mission, vision and strategy.

Primary Responsibilities
The Ministry Coordinator will work with the Pastors and ministry program directors to ensure that lay and staff members' efforts are aligned with the congregation's mission, vision and strategy.  
 
1. Work with Ministry Staff to plan, implement and evaluate existing and new programs and ministries
2. Work with Ministry Staff and volunteer leaders to recruit, train, resource and maintain communication with congregation.
3. Assist the Ministry Staff in preparing worship activities, events, special services (baptisms, funerals, weddings) and special presentations or materials; help coordinate the information flow between Pastors and lay liturgists
4. Create the worship bulletin, including announcement and calendar inserts
5. Create the Program Guide and Newsletter
6. Assist in making displays and other creative promotional pieces.
7. Administer the Annual Report
8. Turn in all minutes and records to the Presbytery as required by the Book of Order
9. Provide Senior Pastor with support for Session meetings and other activities
10. Place sign-up sheets and posters on "Sign Up Central" weekly
11. Coordinate other projects and perform other duties as directed by the Senior Pastor

Qualifications 
• Program/ministry focus
• Associate's degree and at least two (2) years of experience supporting multiple staff members in an office environment
• Minimum of two (2) years of program/project management experience, preferably with a church or other non-profit organization
• Cordial, professional and confident demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact in a sensitive and effective manner with all constituencies
• Well-organized; able to prioritize own work and multi-task with attention to detail
• Proven ability to anticipate needs and issues, think critically and intuitively, exercise good judgment and follow through meet needs and resolve issues
• Track record of reliability, flexibility, initiative and teamwork
• Highly-proficient with Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Internet-based research and purchasing
