Dayspring Center, Inc,  an emergency homeless shelter for families. is seeking an Operations Manager to join our team. The position is a new, full-time position to assist with bookkeeping, facility and office systems.  Working closely with Executive Director and Program staff, the Operations Manager will oversee daily operations including IT, Finance, and Human Resources. 

The position also promotes an accurate and positive image and reputation for Dayspring Center to its various stakeholders.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
 
1. Oversee daily operations of Dayspring Center, Inc. including IT, Finance, Human Resources.
a. Accounting/Bookkeeping
i. Oversee the bookkeeping of the agency including bank reconciliation and provide necessary financial reports
ii. Assist the Executive Director by providing financial guidance and recommendations and strategy.
iii. Oversee and authorize payroll entry
iv. Develop and oversee (with Development Coordinator) a system for tracking and recording revenues and in-kind donations.  
v. Assist with the development of the annual budget and audit processes.  
 
b. Office, Building/Facility 
i. Oversee and maintain the agencies IT ensuring it is up to date, efficient and effective
ii. Oversees and coordinates preventative and routine maintenance for the facility and vehicles
iii. Evaluate the need, cost and feasibility of all building and equipment repairs and replacement. 
iv. Responds to emergency situations regarding building/facility
v. Maintains accurate records regarding building operations and repairs
vi. Evaluate procedures and efficiencies when applicable
vii. Identify and support the implementation of new systems and structures as appropriate.
viii. Assist in organizing project plans and managing project timelines and deliverables

c. Human Resources
i. Assist in the hiring and termination of Employees as needed.
ii. Assist in the performance evaluations of employees

d. Agency
i. Strategize and participate in expansion and growth activities of the agency
ii. Provide timely and accurate written reports to the Executive Director 
iii. Execute the Strategic Plan with the Executive Director
iv. Support and actively participate as a member of the Dayspring team
v. Perform any duties assigned by the Executive Director
 
Scope of Supervision Supervises Maintenance and Facility Staff
 
Knowledge and Skills Required
1. A college degree or equivalent experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping.
 
2. Experience in Human Resources and labor laws.
 
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 
4. Ability to work well with a variety of people in diverse settings.
 
5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
 
6. Computer literacy including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.   
7. Ability to demonstrate good judgment and initiative.
 
8. Maintains a valid driver's license.
