The Communications Manager is responsible for the management and execution of communication strategies and special events to carry out the Hancock County Community Foundation's (HCCF) mission and goals. The Communications Manager also assists the President and Advancement Officer with donor relations and correspondence.
HCCF provides philanthropic leadership by encouraging giving, learning, community pride and civic engagement. HCCF is a vehicle for people of all means to make a lasting difference for their favorite charitable causes. We exist to receive and professionally administer gifts from individuals, families, and organizations. We permanently invest those gifts in component funds with our endowment of over $40 million for maximum earning power and minimum fee impact. HCCF then stewards and distributes a portion of each fund's generated income in the form of grants, as designated by the donor.
Proven ability to organize, plan, and execute related action items effectively are key attributes of a qualified candidate. Strengths in these areas must be supported with excellent written and oral communication skills. A degree in a relevant field with experience in the nonprofit industry is preferred.
