Organization/Program Summary:
Brookside Community Development Corporation is a church-based non-profit serving the Brookside neighborhood, located on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis. Brookside CDC serves as the ministry outreach arm of Brookside Community Church, to create opportunities of renewal and transformation in the lives of people residing in the Brookside neighborhood on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis. Brookside Community Reentry is to help previously incarcerated men and women overcome barriers to their reentry within the context of relationship in Christian community.

Accountability: Reports to CEO of Brookside Community Development Corporation

Description:
The Reentry Director will be responsible for overseeing Brookside Community Church's (BCC) reentry initiative.  Under direction, this position requires leadership abilities to execute the program, develop policies and guidelines, cultivate community partnerships, hire and train staff and volunteers, raise funds, and ensure high quality programming for ex-offenders, homeless, and previously addicted individuals.  Also, bought into a church based nonprofit model and a member of Brookside Community Church. 

Responsibilities:

Organize the Program
• Supervise a team of reentry staff and volunteers.
• Ensure the program operates within the policies and procedures of the organization.
• Provide oversight and advice on program planning, project development, and program management.
• Execute Monday Night's Bridge Worship Service by leading and equipping 20+ volunteers, manage participant flow, and schedules.
• Assist in executing programming goals for Isaiah House'11-bed men's transitional living house'case management, participant program goals, and program fees.
• Motivate and maintain a high-performance team by working with the CEO and volunteer coordinator to recruit volunteers as appropriate, assure effective training/development of current and new volunteers.
• Responsible for reentry program development and maintenance through volunteer training,
• Oversee the collection and maintenance of records on the participants of the program for statistical and program purposes.
• Make presentations about Brookside Community Reentry in the community, distribute information and answer inquiries about programs and services
• Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and identify the areas of improvement.
• Develop forms and records to document program activities

Job Training
• Assist in developing a Job Training program in partnership with a social enterprise for real life job experience and upward mobility.
• Research, plan, and implement curriculum strategy for maximum effectiveness.
• Recruit and train volunteer teachers to assist in weekly classes.

Administrate the Program
• Compliance with grant requirements/obligations including project timetables, personnel issues, and meeting planning.
• Create a tracking system for outcome achievements to increase community impact and funding.
• Contribute and adhere to Brookside's Strategic Plan while assisting the CEO in the development of program and service goals.
• Attend BCC Staff meetings and report on Reentry progress and needs.
• Prepare budget annually and monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to CEO on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly).
• Ensure the programs operate within the approved budget.
• Provide required documentation and reporting for any grant and funder requirements. 
• Train and equip volunteers in serving opportunities ranging from hospitality, security, transportation, and Bridge Coach mentoring.

Fundraising
• In conjunction with Development Team, create, plan and launch fundraising events to support programs
• Write grant proposals and research money for future development of programming. 
• Manage grant requirements for reporting and compliance. 

Skills and Qualifications:
College educated, knowledge of program management, passion for reentry, justice system experience, collaborative in nature, have worked with underserved populations, entrepreneurial, disciple of Christ, fundraiser, researcher, trainer and equipper, take ownership of mistakes, able to receive honest and ongoing feedback, able to live a balanced work-home life, team player.
