Reporting to the Executive Director, the Executive Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the Feeding Indiana's Hungry programs are operating efficiently and effectively. The Executive Assistant will work with the Executive Director to maintain coordinated administrative support within the organization.
 
Feeding Indiana's Hungry is the state association of Feeding America affiliate food banks. The organization provides support to the food banks through program management, public education, and advocacy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create, implement, and maintain communications and marketing calendars and strategies including social media posts, website updates, blog, newsletter, and written communication.
Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including but not limited to scheduling, coordinating with others' calendars, assisting with itineraries and agendas, and compiling meeting documents or other preparatory materials.
Create and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
Communicate professionally with eleven member food banks and other partner organizations.
Assist with bank deposits, purchase orders, expense reports, state reimbursement claims, and workflow related to invoices and contracts.
Coordinate meeting and event preparation, including scheduling, venue booking, catering and other logistics.
Represent Feeding Indiana's Hungry at relevant events within Indiana.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Demonstrated interest in social justice and the mission of Feeding Indiana's Hungry
Self-driven and self-sufficient
Strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to track multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable with budgets and financial information
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and phone manner
Positive and friendly disposition, with a customer service orientation
Excellent judgment and professional demeanor
Flexible, problem-solving and able to adapt to changing demands and priorities
Proactive and able to anticipate upcoming administrative needs and tasks
Sense of humor and capacity for self-reflection
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Outlook (email and calendar) and Excel
Familiarity with DropBox or other document management software
Willingness to travel outside the office, occasional evening and weekend work
Flexibility required to adjust to other needs of the organization
Valid driver's license and automobile insurance required
