The Tharaseo Victim Assistance Victim Advocate will provide psychoeducation, client care, community consultation and victim advocacy to youth (11-24) residing in residential facilities throughout the state of Indiana. This position will provide education, advocacy, and intervention for victims of domestic human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Organization Overview:
Restored Inc. serves victims of sex trafficking in Indiana through active recovery, compassionate relief, and the hope of restoration. Restored is a faith-based organization that provides advocacy, outreach, and education to young girls between the ages of 11-24 whom have been victimized by domestic sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. Restored combats the cultural trends and ignorance that continues to let human trafficking become more prevalent and readily used within the American culture.

Position Duties:
The Victim Advocate assures that the following duties and responsibilities are delivered in a manner consistent with strength-based, victim-centered, and culturally competent approach:
• Co-coordinate group curriculum applying psycheducation techniques to youth who are residing in residential facilities within the state of Indiana
• Assist with ongoing development and revision of group curriculum, identifying resources, materials and speakers
• Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with other staff to facilitate services as appropriate to youth's treatment plan
• Provide advocacy to identified victims with law enforcement, criminal justice, healthcare, and other systems with which the victim might interface; attend all juvenile court hearings
• Responsible for maintaining an ongoing therapeutic relationship focused on healing, empowerment and advocacy
• Provide trauma-informed case management support as needed
• Represent the agency in inter/intra-agency networking and advocacy on behalf of victims of sexual assault, provide public presentations to increase awareness and educate audiences, and participate in community meetings
• Grant compliance, data entry, application and report preparation as appropriate;  maintain and report service statistics on a monthly basis
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professional behavior in dealing with victims and colleagues
• Collaborate with and coordinate services with other professionals to provide sensitive, specialized, culturally appropriate services to victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation
• Attend community meetings and participate in projects as appropriate and/or requested by Restored CEO

Position Skills:
• Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing and other evidence-based treatment models
• Experience facilitating groups is preferred
• Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must be adaptable to apply varied interventions with individuals in a group context
• Must have the ability to relate in a non-judgmental and culturally competent manner
• Must have the knowledge of behavioral health competencies specific to the population being served
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
1. Position Qualifications:
• LSW or MSW from an accredited College or University, MSW preferred
• Ability to function independently with little oversight; must have interpersonal skills including motivation, flexibility, persistence and patience
• Google Platform proficiency
• Willingness to use reliable personal transportation in work capacity, must possess a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• 3 or more references required
