Over its 25-year history, the Clinic has grown to serve 10,000 low income Hoosiers across the state each year, with a staff of nearly 40, nonetheless, it still maintains its Christian roots striving to serve God and welcome ALL neighbors, targeting those most in need. The Clinic is a United Way community partner and IRS-designated low-income tax clinic. The Clinic provides legal solutions focused on serving homeless veterans, immigrants and refugees, families facing foreclosure and other housing crises, victims of human trafficking, domestic violence and sexual assault, ex-offenders, and family law matters. 

The Clinic's board of directors is seeking an experienced leader who brings familiarity with legal systems plus the leadership and management skills to advance the organization into its next chapter. The Executive Director must be familiar with community development, the social service landscape in central Indiana and around the state, and comfortable working with stakeholders and clients across a broad economic and educational continuum. The Executive Director will lead individual fundraising efforts and oversee grant writing strategies to ensure continued growth. 

The Clinic's executive director will have a passion for helping the poor and living out their faith; experience building and working in partnership with other providers; excel at engaging and motivating both staff and board members; and demonstrate the flexibility, drive, and experience required to find solutions and funding to address unmet needs. Working within a team environment, the successful candidate will be expected to operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, advising and supporting projects across the organization and utilizing technology to expand services.

The following are specific qualifications of the Executive Director:
• Strong familiarity with the legal field and connection to the legal community. J.D. a plus.
• Strong, active Christian faith with a demonstrated concern for the poor and feels called to the purpose of the Clinic. Desire to lead and support a Christ-centered team culture.
• Progressive leadership experience - vision casting, strategic planning and implementation, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
• Successful fundraiser with the ability to engage donors and external stakeholders. Able to build strong relationships with churches, ministries, and Christian community leaders.
• Requires team leadership experience with the ability to equip and mentor individuals.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience tracking program outcomes, attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• Process oriented with ability to leverage technology to maximize client services and business efficiencies.
• Ability to develop and maintain transparent communication and work collaboratively across the organization to support continued growth and mitigate risk.
• Ability to raise the visibility of the Clinic within the community.
• Strong business acumen with experience managing an annual budget and monitoring expenses and income on an ongoing basis.
