Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis is seeking a competent and  passionate individual to lead the new Finish Line Boys & Girls Club, located at the intersection of 38th Street and Post Road.  The ideal candidate will share our organizational values of youth-driven decision-making, accountability, honesty, transparency, teamwork and diversity, and will be able to express those values through excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Unit Director directs/manages overall daily operations of the designated Club with the primary concerns for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relations and membership administration.

KEY ROLES

Club Environment 
-Supports and instills the BGCA/BGCI missions and principles
-Creates an environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development outcomes
-Establishes and implements policies and procedures at the Club level

Staff Supervision & Leadership
-Recruits qualified staff through various venues with attention to diversity
-Ensures that the Program Director is involved in the recruitment, selection, and orientation process for Club staff.
-Provides recognition and training opportunities for Club staff
-Conducts staff meetings on a regular basis
-Ensures that programs are regularly monitored and feedback is provided by the Program Director
-Ensures that staff have the skills and resources necessary to be successful at their jobs
-Conducts annual evaluations of Program Director and all part-time staff

Program
-Ensures that there are a variety of programs offered in all five core program areas, utilizing the three methods of implementation, and addressing age-and gender-specific needs and interests
-Utilizes program evaluation methods (community needs assessments/Outcome Measurement Surveys/parent surveys/Commitment to Quality) to determine a strategic plan for Club
-Identifies the implications for and the roles of all those involved in the proposed strategic plan
-Ensures that parent involvement programs, services and activities are developed and included in the Club schedule.

Budget Management
-Controls expenditures against budget
-Maintains timely and accurate financial records
-Makes Program Director aware of grants and other financial resources for Club programs

Manage Administrative systems
-Ensures that systems for maintaining records are effective and consistent with policies and procedures.
-Ensures that systems for human resource management are effective, consistent with policies and procedures, and responsive to staff needs.

Facility management
-Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local standards/inspections
-Evaluates facility on a monthly basis to determine maintenance needs

Community Relations
-Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with families
-Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community partners
-Shares program information with community partners on a regular basis
-Invites elected officials and/or other community leaders to participate in significant activities and organizational events.
-Develops and maintains a community advisory board which meets on a regular basis and provides resources for the Club

Marketing
-Follows marketing and branding standards and has all posted materials pre-approved by the Director of Marketing
-Ensures that crisis management procedures are shared with staff and followed
