Westminster Neighborhood Services provides education support, access to basic needs, and community connections to empower neighbors and strengthen youth and families on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis.  The Family and Adult Services director is responsible for adult programming including the Food Pantry, Soup Kitchen, Christmas Basket program, Adult Education program, and all program partners. 

Duties/Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with regulations established by federal, state, and county governmental entities, food banks, the fire marshal and any other authorities having jurisdiction
• Promote and follow the mission and purpose of Westminster
• Researches, writes, and manages grants for the Family & Adult programs
• Act as Westminster liaison with Gleaners, Second Helpings, Midwest Food Bank, Gennesaret, and other Westminster Adult and Family partners
• Researches, writes, and manages grants for the Family & Adult programs
• Develop and cultivate other partnerships to expand Westminster services to neighbors
• Assume responsibility for the daily operation and activities of the Family & Adult Services programs
• Continuous development, updating and enforcement of policies and procedures for Family and Adult Services program operations and its facility.
• Preparation and collection of data and outcome measurements and compilation of reports related to Family & Adult programs
• Responsible for tracking of all products/goods donate for use with Family & Adult Services including inventory tracking and production of necessary paperwork.
• Fulfills all relevant report to USDA and other regulatory or partner organizations.
• Maintenance of all licenses and certifications related to the programs and staff of Family & Adult Services
• Provide community outreach, becoming involved in relevant organizations and educational programs
• Plan Family & Adult Services calendar in consultation with Westminster staff to maintain coordination of the Family & Adult Services programs with other Westminster activities
• Evaluate Family & Adult Services programs/services on a regular basis and develops new programs/services to fit the needs of the neighbors.
• Manages Back to School event and Christmas Basket program
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree
• Maintain ServSafe Certifications
• Valid Indiana Driver's License
• Sound knowledge of complex practices, policies, and procedures of food pantry/industry regulations a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals both in person and over the phone, applying tact and discretion as situations arise.
• Must have excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills

Start Date January 6th.
