Susie's Place is a 501c3 nonprofit that assists in the prevention, intervention and healing of child victims of crime.  The Development Manager will be responsible for the design and implementation of the organization's fundraising budget.

Susie's Place Child Advocacy Center opened in April 2009, in Avon, Indiana.  In its first year, Susie's Place consisted of one employee and conducted 195 forensic interviews of reported child victims of abuse from Hendricks County.  By the end of 2019, the 10-year anniversary, Susie's Place will have served over 10,000 reported child victims from 38 Indiana counties.

The mission of Susie's Place was clear from the start:  To provide a neutral, child-friendly center for the investigation of alleged child abuse and neglect, while keeping the comfort and safety of the child the first priority.  The mission has expanded to include the promotion of prevention and healing for those child victims.  Susie's Place now has facilities in Avon, Bloomington and Terre Haute, Indiana and has grown in budget to over $1 million annually.

Major responsibilities include implementation and execution of fund development plan, managing fundraising campaigns/activities, and developing and furthering relationships with existing donors and prospective donors.  Additional information may be found at http://bit.ly/2S01FIC.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of donor relations, endowments, annual giving, foundations/corporate solicitations, special event planning, and marketing. Demonstrated grant writing success preferred. Knowledge of philanthropic communities in which centers are located, preferred.  Understanding or experience working with child welfare and/or criminal justice systems preferred. A qualified candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to attend required trainings/meetings, have a valid driver's license with proof of minimum state required auto insurance, and successfully pass a criminal history check. Education and/or Experience   
Bachelor's degree in a related field (public relations, marketing or non-profit management).  Minimum of 3 years of experience in a nonprofit management, development, marketing and public relations. Proficient computer skills, communication skills, and organizational skills.    

Resumes preferred by January 10th. This position will work out of the Avon location with some travel to Vigo County and Monroe County.  Some remote working will be allowed.
