Brooke's Place is Central Indiana's only ongoing, peer based support group program for children who are grieving the loss of a significant loved one.  Through support groups, individual therapy services, outreach efforts, and our annual Camp Healing Tree programs, grieving children and their families learn to thrive in the midst of grief.  Brooke's Place recently celebrated 20 years of service to Central Indiana and is beginning the development of a new strategic plan for the next 3-5 years and beyond.

The Brooke's Place Advancement Manager will have 2-3+ years working in nonprofit development and/or marketing and will utilize his or her skills and expertise to further our fundraising and marketing efforts in support of our strategic plan. The Advancement Manager will be a self-starter who develops and implements creative solutions with limited resources and combines experience with passion and innovation. The Advancement Manager will develop, oversee, and strategize vital revenue streams for special events, annual giving campaigns, corporate partnerships, and third-party events, as well as oversee planning and organization of social media strategies and marketing efforts.
 
Primary Responsibilities:  
 
A. Plan and organize fundraising and marketing aspects of signature events, including Legacy of Hope Breakfast and the Hope Fore Tomorrow Golf Tournament
B. Participate with the development team in stewardship/cultivation activities.
C. Manage, process, and track corporate event sponsorships including the creation of sponsorship proposals, invoice requests, tracking contacts, and developing approach strategies
D. Maintain and manage special events budgets
E. Work cross-departmentally to ensure event sponsorship benefits are fulfilled 
F. Collaborate in maintaining and stewarding long-term relationships with existing donors , sponsors, etc.
G. Work cross-departmentally to recruit, train, and support key volunteers to assist in advancement efforts
H. Manage the design and development of marketing collateral materials related to fundraising and awareness about Brooke's Place, including the Year In Review document, event brochures, etc.
I. Strategize future fundraising programs and oversee implementation
J. Research and initiate relationships with prospective funder sources including corporate partners, individual donors
K. Manage media relations, create social media posts, and develop content for the Brooke's Place website, monthly e-newsletter, and other marketing/public relations initiatives.
L. Assist with major donor campaigns and represent Brooke's Place at community events, program night tours, etc.

Education/Experience/Skills Required
a. Bachelor's degree in related field (nonprofit management, philanthropy, marketing, communications, journalism, etc.)
b. Strong communication skills, including written/email and spoken with the ability to actively listen to constituents and donors to focus on donor need and determine mutually beneficial agreements/partnerships.
c. Demonstrated understanding of marketing and fundraising principles.
d. Experience with donor management databases (such as Bloomerang, eTapestry, DonorPerfect) preferred.
e. Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly.
f. Experience in graphic design (using Canva or similar tools) not required but a plus.
g. Strong attention to detail.
h. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and set goals in a deadline-oriented environment.
i. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with donors, media, clients, volunteers and staff
j. Successful track record of meeting deadlines, project management and creative problem solving.
