Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis is seeking a self-motivated individual to develop and implement a post-secondary preparation program with urban teens.  The Program Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the College Readiness programs to junior high and high school students at five different locations throughout the city, planning College Tours, promoting scholarship opportunities, and following up with scholarship recipients.  Experience in counseling and/or advising students on barriers to success will be considered a plus. 

The position is full-time and requires evenings and some weekends, as well as some travel. Bachelors degree required.
Typical work hours are 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. during the school year, and 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. during out of school periods.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Establish and implement the College Readiness programs and activities for jr. high/middle school students, high school students and parents at each of the 5 facility-based Clubs
• Create opportunities for Club members in junior high/middle school and high school to participate in college and career planning programs (i.e. College Goal Sunday, College Fairs, etc.)
• Promote participation in college entrance exams (GED/SAT/ACT tests), financial aid assistance programs (21st Century Scholars/College Goal Sunday/etc.), and scholarship opportunities (BGCI, CICF, etc.)
• Plan and implement a minimum of three local college tours for College Readiness  participants from each of the five Clubs, in addition to two multi-day out of town trips each year.
• Accurately record program activities and member participation in College Readiness and other program components.
• Conduct evaluation of College Readiness programs and activities to measure outcomes and ensure effectiveness of the program.
• Develop collaborative relationships with other organizations, supporting college and career preparation activities.
• Act as liaison with neighborhood and community groups to enhance and promote College Readiness programs.
• Attend all appropriate Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis trainings, staff meetings and events.
• Provide support and assistance to Boys & Girls Club scholarship recipients to ensure successful completion of college coursework
• Follow all Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis and assigned site Policies and Procedures.
• And other duties as assigned.
