This is a NEW position that requires highly motivated individuals to apply. During the 2020 calendar year, Lambda Chi Alpha will be hiring one Event Manager to help build the Learning Outcomes team. The responsibilities include designing and producing the best quality events that ensure a flawless experience for all attendees, sponsors, partners, and volunteers. This position is for highly organized people who can manage complex timelines and work well with different types of people and personalities.

Position Duties
• Generating requests for proposals (RFPs) and negotiating contracts with hotels and vendors
• Managing Lambda Chi Alpha's continuing relationship with CVENT and the products associated with this contract
• Communicating and managing all logistics for Lambda Chi Alpha's conferences and board meetings. This may include, but is not limited to:
• Monitoring and responding to miscellaneous requests regarding upcoming events from external stakeholders
• Managing registration and attendee lists for all events
• Organizing transportation (as necessary) for attendees, facilitators, board members, and Lambda Chi Alpha's internal team
• Providing necessary information to venues regarding catering, room setup, A/V needs, rooming lists, and meal counts
• Serving as the main point of contact between the Office of Administration team and the host venue
• Collecting information for and creating information packets for board meetings
• Managing the needs of multiple departments for all events

Position Qualifications
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree as well as at least three years' experience planning, managing, and implementing events. A CVENT advanced certification is preferred, but not required.
The position is a full-time, exempt position located in the organization's headquarters in Carmel, IN. Job responsibilities and tasks for this position are subject to change based on the needs of the organization and at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer.
