As part of the Foster Success team, the Program Coordinator- Financial Empowerment, advances the organization's mission by ensuring students have access to a continuum of financial empowerment programs and resources. The Program Coordinator works with the Director of Strategic Initiatives to develop and deliver financial empower programs including online, face to face, one-on-one, and group programs aimed at increasing the financial knowledge and capabilities of older foster youth.

The Program Coordinator- Financial Empowerment reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives.
 
About Foster Success
Foster Success is committed to improving the foster care system and ensuring that youth and young adults transitioning out of foster care are educated, housed, financially stable, employed, and connected to a support system by age 25. Our team accomplishes this through programs, policy change, and partnerships in the areas of K-12 & post-secondary education, workforce development, health & well-being, financial capability, housing, and youth engagement.

Primary Responsibilities
● Program Administration - Manage all aspects of Foster Success's financial empowerment programs including curriculum development and updates, program registration and delivery, and disbursement of program incentives. Current programs include:
  o Online Financial Modules - Track progress and completion of participants through seven online financial education modules. Troubleshoot as needed.
  o Financial Conversations - Coordinate bi-monthly face-to-face and/or virtual conversations between youth and bankers or other financial professionals to answer questions and provide helpful information.
  o Opportunity PassportTM- Serve as the primary contact between the Jim Casey Youth Opportunity Initiative and Foster Success for the delivery of the Opportunity PassportTM program. Work with a contracted instructor to deliver the program at least 4x/year in various locations across the state. Manage matched saving program for qualified youth by reviewing, verifying and approving all match requests and working with Foster Success Executive Assistant to process payment.
  o Credit Build - Serve as the primary contact between financial partners and Foster Success to administer the Save2Build Credit Building Program. Review and screen all applicants prior to enrollment in the program. Maintain regular communication with program participants to provide 1:1 program support to ensure that participants are meeting all program requirements.
● Data Tracking and Reporting - Manage bi-annual survey for Opportunity PassportTM participants. Obtain participant and partner feedback through evaluations, surveys, focus groups, and other tools for reporting and program improvement purposes. Update files in Salesforce data system on a weekly basis.
● Outreach and Awareness - Educate school systems and community organizations about Foster Success. This includes representing Foster Success at conferences, exhibit tables, and engagement events with students.

Position Requirements
● Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience of program implementation required.
● Knowledge and experience with the delivery of financial education programs including counseling support.
● Experience working with individuals affected by foster care or those from diverse and income qualified backgrounds preferred.
● Demonstrated success in the areas of advocacy, program implementation and evaluation, and process improvement.
● Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes some weekends and/or evenings in order to meet program goals.
● Proficiency in computer skills and an experience with and knowledge of relevant software, particularly Salesforce, Zoom, and Google and Microsoft Products.
● Valid Indiana State Driver's License and access to a vehicle or ability to rent a vehicle for work-related travel.
