The Center for Interfaith Cooperation (CIC) is looking for a dynamic, organized, and experienced program professional to join the CIC team as Program Director. This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys working with diverse populations, is eager to learn about various cultures and religions, and brings at least 5 years of relevant program management experience to the role. 
 
Organization Overview
 
Through celebration, education, dialogue, and service, the Center for Interfaith Cooperation encourages religious literacy in our community, pursuing peace through interfaith understanding and cooperation. Our work remains focused on supporting existing connections between and among faith communities, fostering additional interfaith opportunities through social, cultural, and educational interactions, and connecting communities through volunteer service and civic engagement.
 
Position Duties

This is a 30 hour/week position, with a vision to expand to a full-time, 40 hour/week role within the next year as CIC programming and funding opportunities grow.The Program Director will primarily work during Monday through Friday office hours from 9am-5pm with some weekend and evening hours required for special events.

Reporting to the Executive Director, responsibilities of the Program Director include but may not be limited to:
 
• Comprehensive  Program Administration: Provides quality administration, oversight, and management of all CIC programs and services (including Religious Diversity Training, the Interfaith Mental Health Coalition, Interfaith Leadership Cohorts, Digital Dialogues, and/or other programming) by:
 o working in active partnership with the Executive Director and Program Committee of the board on overall program-related strategy, decision making, and risk management aligned with organizational goals;
 o organizing and delivering all CIC programs in cooperation with staff, board members, and community volunteers;
 o identifying and fulfilling opportunities to engage community volunteers in program delivery;
 o collecting and managing all program-related data for program promotion, execution, reporting, and process improvement;
 o assist with grant proposals and reporting as needed to support program sustainability; and
 o manages all program budgets and related resources.
 
• AmeriCorps Management: Provides day-to-day management and oversight of CIC's Interfaith Enrichment Corps AmeriCorps programming, including:
• securing community partners to serve as AmeriCorps host sites
• recruiting, interviewing, and placing qualified AmeriCorps members at host sites;
• training all AmeriCorps supervisors and AmeriCorps members according to the Corporation of National Service guidelines;
• developing AmeriCorps member workplans; and
• providing supervision and oversight of all active AmeriCorps members and host sites to ensure workplan implementation and compliance for the successful completion of AmeriCorps service contracts.
 
• Community Partnerships: Serves as a visible community representative of CIC by:
 o developing and maintaining strong working relationships with diverse community partners, board members, staff, and volunteers;
 o serving as CIC's main point of contact for Serve Indiana (state office for AmeriCorps) and the Corporation for National Service; and
 o works in partnership with CIC staff and the PR Marketing committee of the board to promote CIC programs, opportunities for involvement, and impact.

Position Qualifications
• Commitment to CIC's mission and values
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years program management experience, including supervisory experience
• Demonstrated success in program development, implementation, and evaluation
• Ability to contend with a wide variety of people on various issues
• Well-developed verbal, listening, and written communications skills
• Excellent time management as well as organizational and multitasking skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, comfort with online or cloud-based data management systems, and the ability to quickly adopt new technology and processes
• Familiarity with the Corporation for National Service and AmeriCorps programs, with direct AmeriCorps experience a plus
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and manner
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
