Part-time:  15-20 hours per week

Circles is a community-based initiative that creates relationships across economic class lines, matching people of low income (Circle Leaders) with middle or upper-income Allies. Circles' underlying foundation is to engage people and organizations in the community to move families permanently out of poverty.  The primary role of the Circles Coach is to work inwardly with the Circles community, ensuring that those relationships thrive. The Coach is also responsible for ongoing support to key resource teams that support the Circle Leaders' progress. 

Position Duties:
• Attend weekly Circles meetings and ensure that they are organized and well planned.  Work with Coordinator and Resource Teams in this activity.  Lead/assist as needed (Wednesday evenings, 5:15-8:15pm)  (35%)
• Develop connections with Circle Leaders, providing emotional, trauma and troubleshooting support (15%)
• Provide ongoing support and encouragement to Circle Leaders and Allies.  Develop a supportive, empowering culture consistent with Circles values and goals  (10%)
• Provide direction and oversight to the volunteer resource teams on their deliverables.  These teams include Community Building, Jobs and Education, and Services.  (10%)
• Assist with screening, intake conversations and enrollment of Circle Leaders and Allies. Provide orientation for new Circle Leader families (5%)
• Identify and provide conflict resolution among Circle Leaders and their Allies when needed, identifying and implementing the appropriate intervention effectively. (5%)
• Evaluate programs, processes and outcomes.  Recommend approaches to improve performance  (5%)
• Collect and manage feedback from all parties involved in program through surveys, written reports and verbal comments.  Assist, when needed, with data management and reporting  (5%)
• Assist in training and supporting Circles facilitators.  This includes training Circle Leaders and Allies to be facilitators for programs (5%)
• Training in Suicide Intervention, Trauma Based Care and other relevant material (5%)

Position Qualifications:
• Can relate authentically and effectively to people from diverse socio-economic class lines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to problem solve and exercise discretion
• Maintain a positive atmosphere by communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with Circle Leaders, Allies, Resource Team members and the community at large
• Ability to stay relaxed in situations of stress and assist in de-escalation during conflict.
• Understanding/experience in working with ACEs study and those impacted by trauma
• Ability to develop a strong sense of community
• Ability to lead and facilitate meetings
• Possess strong organizational skills in managing complex tasks with autonomy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be able to support a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the Circles Community
• Social services, public health, trauma care or other relevant experience
  o Prefer prior experience working with volunteers
  o Prefer experience in a non-profit or related field
• Current driver's license
