Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center empowers adults, youth, and families by serving as a thriving community resource that provides help, hope, and better opportunities.

Summary of expectations:
The Coordinator of Marketing and Development will perform a variety of tasks to keep internal operations running smoothly and uphold Mary Rigg's brand and external image. This position will also assist with managing the donor database, gift stewardship, and donor communication.

Primary Responsibilities

• Marketing/Communications Support (80%)
o Manage social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube)
o Produce content and graphics (print, social media, video, blogs, etc.)
o Coordinate monthly newsletter content and create electronic newsletter for distribution
o Assist staff with customized design projects
o Assist with creating social media plans and content
o Create and update building wide communication content (televisions, display boards, etc.)
o Update website as needed
o Prepare detailed media and website activity reports
o Assist in generating campaign concepts and translating into action plans for implementation

• Development Support (20%)
o Ensure that appropriate thank you letters and materials are sent in response to donations
o Prepare and mail materials to donors or prospects as assigned
o Communicate with lapsed (LYBUNT) donors encouraging them to give again
o Data entry into Bloomerang (address changes, birthdays, etc.)
o Gift processing (gift entry into database and creating personalized acknowledgements)
o Other tasks as assigned

Competencies and Qualifications

• Competencies
o Minimum education – High School Education or equivalent; additional professional education specific to graphics, marketing, and communications
o Standard Office Equipment
o Telecommunication Systems
o Software (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Canva, Video Editing, Hootsuite)
o WordPress
o Bloomerang (or other comparable donor database)
o Photography/Video Equipment
