We are a unique agency that serves youth ages 7 to 18 with mental health services designed to help them with the life issues they are facing. Join a small, committed team devoted to providing important mental health outpatient services to the youth in our community at one of our community offices. We provide a strong environment of staff support and resources. This is a great part-time position to supplement something you already have. Looking for afternoon and evening therapists and are flexible with days and number of hours. We are open Monday through Thursday.
PROGRAMS AND SERVICES:
Reach For Youth is unique in its delivery of services to youth and parents. Its mission is fulfilled through two primary programs: youth mental health development services and juvenile delinquency prevention/intervention. Counseling services include individual, group and family counseling and a variety of educational and therapeutic groups. Prevention Services includes Teen Court, both in the local schools and community, and focuses on juvenile justice diversion programs for nonviolent offenders from the juvenile courts of Marion and Johnson counties.
Applicants must have a Masters Level degree from an accredited school in the field of mental health such as: Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Counseling Psychology. Preferred applicants are those who are licensed by the State of Indiana as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Knowledge of the juvenile justice system, child welfare system, community resources, and or substance abuse issues is desired. CSAYC certification preferred or interest in obtaining.
Clinical Supervisor or Director of Mental Health and Clinical Services
To provide clinical mental health counseling services - including individual, family and group counseling - to youth ages 7 to 18 and their families.
Conduct psychosocial assessments, treatment planning and case management of clients; provide counseling at assigned locations; maintain collaborative relationships with agency counseling staff, community schools and other agencies. Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and increase knowledge and skills needed for efficient service delivery.
• Conduct assessments of individuals and families
• Develop individualized treatment plans with clients and their families
• Conduct individual and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices
• Plan, develop and deliver psycho-educational and therapeutic groups, alone and with a co-facilitator
• Maintain collateral community contacts to advocate for and assist clients to obtain needed services and resources, and to facilitate agency referrals
• Maintain client and agency records and statistics
• Assist with program planning and evaluation
• Other duties as assigned
