Martin Luther King Community Center is seeking a team member to coordinate our fund development efforts, responsible for the overall success of MLK Center's annual fund development plan from weekly tours to the annual ask event. The coordinator reports to the Executive Director and works together to identify, cultivate, and solicit gift support. 

As the Development Coordinator, you will: 

  • Implement and evaluate annual fund development plan. 
  • Lead weekly building tours and engagement strategies. 
  • Maintain an ongoing wish list of ways for the community to donate their time, talents, and resources including donated items and donated money. 
  • Ensure proper donor recognition and stewardship. 
  • Maximize possibilities of Bloomerang data management tool. 
  • Identify an annual budget for giving in conjunction with Executive Director. 
  • Work with Office Manager to manage any direct mail efforts. 
  • Provide staff support to the Fund Development Committee. 
  • Oversee annual MLK Center's annual ask event, the Founders Breakfast. 
  • Contribute to supportive team atmosphere and shared responsibilities at the Center and in the neighborhoods served. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
