HOPE Family Care Center, a free health clinic in Cicero (IN), is seeking a part-time Development Coordinator to help sustain and expand its operations. The main emphasis will be on securing new grants and cultivating individual/corporate donors.
Founded in 2004, HOPE Family Care Center is a non-profit free clinic devoted to improving the overall health of the residents of central/northern Hamilton County and southern Tipton County. Its focus is on uninsured, under-insured, and medically under-served populations. HOPE offers clients a range of health and related services and assistance. The HOPE team addresses multiple health-related issues through provision of high quality medical, dental, women's health, and social services, as well as counseling and emotional support.
The Development Coordinator willfacilitatea comprehensive plan to ensure and expand organizational funding, and will implement that plan with assistance from HOPE's Board, staff, and volunteers. Specific tasks include systematically identifying potential new funding sources (public and private); writing new grant applications and funding appeals; cultivating potential donors (individual and corporate); assisting with clinic marketing and community image development; and assisting with fundraising events as needed.
Knowledge of, and ability to continually research, potential new grant sources (public and private), and ability to write effective grant applications. Able to successfully cultivate potential private donors (corporations, foundations, and individuals). Able to facilitate fundraising events as needed. Excellent writer and personal communicator, with ability to produce appealing and effective marketing/information communications. Skilled in generating personal influence on behalf of HOPE's vital mission. Knowledge of donor software, especially Network for Good, is desirable but not required.
