KidsFirst Adoption Services is seeking a motivated, passionate bilingual (Spanish & English) person for an Adoption Caseworker position. The position is full time with paid holidays, paid vacation time but does not offer medical benefits. We are looking for a personable, self-starter with excellent organizational skills who would enjoy a career in adoption. The applicant must have an MSW degree.
KidsFirst is a licensed child-placing agency operating since 1998 in an ethical manner sensitive to the needs of all parties involved in the adoption process. This person will be responsible for the overall general day-to-day administration including support to the executive team. He or she will have to develop a detailed knowledge of adoption and office management. This person should demonstrate exceptional client service and pro-active problem-solving skills, will enjoy learning new things, and is highly motivated to get things done accurately to keep the rest of the team doing what they do best.
You will be inspired to write things down, use checklists, value relationships and thrive in a fun, fast-paced environment where you need to be very comfortable communicating with a wide-range of people. You'll love connecting with people whether by phone or in person and will have tremendous organizational skills and interpersonal communication skills. Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW Degree mandatory)
- Valid driver's license
- Experience in foster care, child welfare system, or adoption preferred
- Individual must be detail oriented with exceptional writing skills
- Required to complete agency's training and background checks
- Ability to establish appropriate boundaries with clients
- Empathy, honesty, and professionalism
- Speaks Spanish
