Description 

A Maintenance Technician will see that all HVAF properties are repaired and maintained to a high standard and provide general maintenance of building. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Repair and upkeep properties by completing tasks including, but not limited to, general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, flooring, painting, and other duties similar to a general handyman 
  • General daily maintenance of office building 
  • Maintain property and grounds 
  • Assist with donations pickups 
  • Maintain and organize the warehouse and storage areas 

Education/Experience/Skills Required 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Able to establish and rearrange priorities to meet deadlines as assigned 
  • Able to comprehend and utilize professional education materials 
  • Must be able to list and carry heavy objects such as furniture and be on your feet most of the day 
  • Able to follow directions and utilize suggestions 
  • Must have a valid Indiana driver's license and must be eligible for HVAF's auto insurance at all times during employment 
  • Veteran preferred 

Work Environment: 

  • Core work week would fall between 7a-3p Monday-Friday 
  • Occasional evenings and weekends required 
  • Participation of routine "on-call" rotation required
