Position Goal: Grants and Strategic Initiatives Coordinator works with the CEO, Program Directors, attorneys, social workers, staff, and other partners to maximize opportunities for Kids' Voice's ability to achieve its mission and strength its values.
Position Summary: Grants and Strategic Initiatives Coordinator will coordinate and assist with overseeing special projects and grants strategy related to all programs of Kids' Voice of Indiana. This is accomplished in conjunction with Program Directors, the CEO, Development Director and Director of Operations. This position is also responsible for providing administrative support those directors as assigned.
Key Functions: (1) Develop, implement, oversee, and coordinate the grants strategy for Kids' Voice of Indiana, including integrated database development and evaluation and analysis of grants strategy. (2) Work with Program Directors to identify and apply for opportunities specific to each program area. (3) Identify and apply for opportunities specific to the agency's overall mission and vision. (4) Work with the CEO and Program Directors to ensure all compliance and reporting requirements are met in a timely manner. (5) Develop partnerships with other organizations to advance the Kids' Voice mission and objectives. (6) Develop relationships with funders, both new and existing, in order to secure additional resources. (7) Manage data collection and reporting on programs and grants.
Qualifications: (1) Bachelor's degree required, preferably in related field; (2) Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills; (3) Knowledge of federal, state, city, and private funding sources; (4) Knowledge of family and juvenile law system, resources, major social issues, partner organizations, and other initiatives; (5) Ability to work independently and in a team environment; (6) Ability to meet critical deadlines; (7) Ability to track and perform multiple tasks and manage projects; (8) Flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours as needed; (9) Strong work ethic.
