This position is to provide agency services to clients in an efficient and responsible manner. This position relates to other staff assigned to the program in which this position functions and to staff in other programs. It relates directly to clients and other service providers and requires attitudes of warmth, sensitivity, acceptance, and cooperation. Relationships inside and outside agency are highly important to the accomplishment of the agency's mission.


Recovery Coach Case Management/Peer Support/Skills Building (75 %)

  • Receive telephone calls from clients, interpret service, and schedule appointments for client's service needs.
  • Conduct interviews in the office or client's home to assess the client's needs for concrete, tangible service, the appropriateness of the service, the urgency of the service, and to determine if there are other service needs instead of or in addition to the service requested.
  • Refer clients to community resources as appropriate.
  • Communicate the client's service needs and any special problems or needs associated with the delivery of service to supervisory personnel.
  • Provide limited supportive counseling service to clients under supervision. Recognize the problems, which are not apparent or not identified at the time of initial assessment and report to supervisor. Participate in arranging services to address those problems.

Recovery Coach Support (25 %)

  • Record all case activity in compliance with the agency's procedures.
  • Report all case activity statistically in compliance with established statistical procedures; follow all other agency procedures promptly and reliably.
  • Other duties as assigned. 


To be successful in this role, you need to have the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  •  A Bachelor's degree in an accredited social work program or related field
  • A valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Clear, effective communications skills
  • Knowledge of and adherence to current confidentiality practices
  • Appreciation for and ability to respond to cultural differences.
  • Current Recovery Coach Certification (CAPRC I, CAPRC II, or CRS – SA) or the ability to obtain certification
