Position Summary

The purpose of the Director of Alumni Services is to manage and lead the alumni services team. The position reports directly to the President and CEO to help TeenWorks alumni and scholars to create long term sustainable plans and help remove barriers to their success. The position will also collaborate with other staff members on activities designed to enhance and support the overall mission of the Agency.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the leadership team to create programming that allows our participants to obtain postsecondary credentials and degrees
  • Help administer the TeenWorks Scholarship program 
  • Will utilize Post-Secondary Plans to make sure the transitioning participants will stay on track to meet their goals
  • Assist TeenWorks Pro participants in completion of FAFSA, college financial aid application, and the TeenWorks Scholarship application
  • Engage with participants seeking a non-college bound goal after high school
  • Work with Alumni Services team create meaningful campus check-ins
  • Engage parents and relevant stakeholders in the post-secondary planning process
  • Develop and maintain positive partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, and businesses
  • Utilize case management software for the purpose of data collection
  • Occasional travel within Indianapolis, to the TeenWorks office in Muncie, and to in-state colleges and universities
  • All other duties as assigned

Success Indicators

Success in this role is indicated by the following: 

  • Increase in graduation rates for post-secondary degrees and credentialing
  • Develop programs that remove barriers to post-secondary success attainment
  • Create meaningful partnerships that benefit TeenWorks Scholars and Alumni. 
  • Demonstrate core competencies: 
    • Clear, concise, and persuasive written and oral communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Highly organized
    • High level of initiative and follow-through on commitments
    • Ability to build relationships and foster trust

Working conditions

  • Work at company office 4-5 days a week as dictated by business priorities
  • Extensive computer work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Post-Secondary experience a plus
  • Strong computer skills
  • Presence of core competencies
