SCOPE OF POSITION: This position serves as liaison between not-for-profit organizations, community and corporate leaders, and peer foundations related to the Foundation's work to educate, undo biased practices and support staff, leadership and the community in addressing systemic institutional racism in Central Indiana. This person's primary responsibility is to provide content oversight and relationship management for a large awareness campaign on behalf of the OEI department. Additionally, this person is responsible for specific grantmaking initiatives and community engagement endeavors related to the Foundation's mission. This is a position of importance due to the incumbent's representation of the Foundation and its values and brand experience. In addition, this position is critical due to the incumbent's potential influence in the community, plans related to the current operation and future goals of the Foundation, and access to highly confidential information. Incumbent must maintain high standards of ethics and confidentiality. 

JOB FUNCTIONS: The following functions have been determined by the Foundation to be essential to the successful performance of this position: 

  1. Serves as the campaign and project manager an awareness campaign, a three year project aimed at engaging 10,000 people in acts of equity. Responsible for content development, curation and project management coordination. 
  2. Research and identify Racial Equity Training Opportunities, and coordination for staff and community to attend. 
  3. Responsible for the OEI department's Dismantling Systemic Racism Reactive Grantmaking, which includes reviewing applications, executing due diligence, authentically and effectively managing the relationships, making a funding recommendation and all follow up regarding the decision. 
  4. Departmental support for Special Interest Funds (DAF, Equity Partners, AALFI, etc.) 
  5. All other duties as assigned. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: The following are the qualifications and minimum requirements necessary for a person to perform this job. 

  1. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including strong leadership, problem solving, project management and communication skills. 
  2. Bachelor's degree in a related field or commensurate experience. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in project management and task management. 
  3. Understanding and adherence to high standards of ethics and confidentiality. 
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write clearly with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. 
  5. Ability to speak, write, and dress in a professional and appropriate manner. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with others in a professional and appropriate manner, including the ability to discuss multiple concepts with others. 
  6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and work independently with little supervision. 
  7. Excellent organizational and workload prioritizing skills. 
  8. Excellent conceptual and analytical skills; ability to research and analyze data and information. 
  9. Working knowledge of general office equipment, including computer-based word processing and spreadsheet packages, proficiency with MS Office products preferred. Experience working on the Internet and with integrated database software is also preferred. 
  10. Ability to organize, facilitate, and manage projects and meetings in an efficient and effective manner. 
  11. Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary. 
  12. Ability to travel between multiple office locations and attend off premise events, such as community events and meetings. Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle.
