The HR Manager at HVAF supports 80+ employees performing generalist duties covering all areas of HR for the agency. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Complete onboarding paperwork and conduct orientation of new hires 
  • Manage and oversee the full hiring process and termination process 
  • Maintain and administer all employee benefit programs and coordinate communication and paperwork to employees 
  • Bi-weekly payroll processing 
  • Time off management 
  • Maintain all hard copy personnel records and electronic employee profiles 
  • Ensure legal compliance in all aspects of HR 
  • Maintain and update roster and contact list 
  • Maintain work structure by updating job descriptions for all position 
  • Monitor, order, receive, distribute, and secure office supplies and stamps 
  • Create, maintain and update policies and procedures 
  • Track, create, and distribute annual and 90-day evaluations monthly 
  • Lead the Employee Engagement Committee 
  • Maintain and update the Employee Handbook annually 
  • Respond to all HR related inquiries, both internal and external, in a timely manner 

Education/Experience/Skills Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and previous HR experience 
  • Recruiting and Employee Relations experience a plus 
  • Willingness to be flexible and cooperative 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs 
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills

Work Environment: 

  • Regular schedule of Monday-Friday 
  • Ability to work remotely up to 2 days per week when eligible
